As such, the Modern-Day example of these ICONIC and GREAT guns. Check out ballistics on this calibre too. Just bear this in mind: 100 away and roughly the same energy and velocity as a standard .22 rim-fire at the muzzle! Not a lot that cannot be dispatched cleanly at point blank range with a .22 LR round. Then factor in the (possible) 10 rounds of follow up shots IF needed. Each one as fast as you can squeeze the trigger. (That’s one already in the chamber plus a full 10 round mag clipped in). That is SOME amount of fire power at your disposal.
20 5/8” (525mm) Original NONE screw-cut barrel still sporting Open / ‘V’ Iron Sights. 13 3/4” (350mm) stock combining to an Overall Length of 39 3/8” (1000mm). It weighs in bare at half an ounce under 6 Lbs (2.709 Kg).
As this is the STILL Current / modern day version 5 and / or 10 round magazines are EASILY sourced. I will have both in stock for anyone wanting either or both. A Beech Wood Stock, sadly with one main blemish to detail. To the back end of the L/H side approx. 1 ¼” (30+mm) from the still Original Branded Butt Plate. The same distance down from the comb / top. No idea quite why or what from but it is there and there to stay. Unless a LOT of work goes in that, quite frankly, the rifle does not really justify.
Other than the Very few other small marks the rifle has seen Very Little use so far. As such, a bit of a contradiction, given the previous sentence. However, I did use the word ‘generally’. Point is there IS a LOT of life left in this rifle. In a calibre that certainly has advantages over more modern ‘ideas’ for longer range pest and vermin.
The Open Sights are also Windage as well as Elevation adjustable. However, for those who insist upon a scope, the action is also factory machined with a standard width Dovetail. All ready for a set of rings in whatever diameter needed. (A somewhat MASSIVE pile of those pre-used or new sat here waiting to be chosen too). Otherwise, a Very Clean example both inside and out.
