.177 (4.5mm) Webley Mark 3 Underlever Air Rifle From Webley and Scott, Birmingham, England. Overall the gun measures to approx. 43 ¼” (1100mm) and tips scales at 7 lbs 4 ½ oz. (3.302 Kg). Barrel length is 18 5/8” (475mm) with a trigger pull at 13 ½” (343mm) when cocked. Once fired the trigger blade actually rests against the rear of the trigger guard. As such a great visual indicator to let you know the status of the rifle.
It came in along with 3 other ‘older’ / similar era air rifles. All purchased and used from new by the previous owner, now deceased. His nephew brought them and remembers learning to shoot with the Webley Jaguar also now here. The third is a Mark 3 and the last a Weihrauch HW35 Hofmann Premier.
SERIOUSLY SOLIDLY made. Something that will still be working 100 years and more from now with simple care and maintenance. Scope mount Dovetail to the top of the Spring body and also retains the original open / iron sights. Fixed position barrel with a Pivoting Tap Loading Port and Underlever Operation / Cocking. A VERY Nice and Highly Decorative Stock inlet with an original Webley Logo Disc.
Considering it would be close to if not actually pulling its pension I consider it IMMACULATE. Certainly a Worthy candidate for ANY serious Webley and Scott or even General Air Rifle Collection. Each one of the four that came in are.
