Single Shot Martini Action Match Grade .22 Rim Fire rifle from W. W. Greener. 22” (560mm) Semi-Heavy Target Grade barrel screw cut standard ½” x 20 UNF ready to fit a sound moderator of choice. 14 ¼” (363mm) Stock producing an overall length of 38 1/8” (970mm) with a Solid 7 Lbs 2 oz (3.229Kg) weight.
The action is stamped with the makers name. I would suspect at some point has been refinished as the detail is a little light. Equally possible not and is as original. Beaver Tail style For-end leading back to a Superbly Decorative Walnut Stock. Excellent Grain Pattern with Strong Cross Grain Tiger Stripe Highlights as well as equally good Colour Contrast. Raised Cheek Piece to finish the detail.
Standard width Scope Rail Dovetails which look to be specially and specifically made for this rifle. The rear presumably from a traditional Target Dioptre Base or Flip up type. Regardless a very good job however they started out. Adjustable Match Grade Trigger set into the Loop Round Cocking Lever Trigger Guard. That inset to a perfectly flush finish to the grip woodwork when closed.
I suspect not much will get past this rifle when in even half way competent hands.
