STEYR MANNLICHER MODEL S .308 NORMA MAGNUM BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

A ‘Bit of a Beast’ .308 Norma Magnum Bolt Action Steyr Mannlicher / Steyr Daimler Puch Model S Rifle. In SUPERB condition for its age. All original with the Famous ‘Barley Twist’ 25 ½” (647mm) un-threaded barrel and still retaining the iron / open sights. The stock has a pull length of 14 ¾” (375mm) and a Good Strong Straight Grain from end to end.

ALSO  appears two sets of images taken so ‘have at them’ and enjoy!

The usual Raised Cheek piece and fox / skip cut chequering. Extra details which always set a gun off that bit better and then finished with Rosewood for-end tip and grip cap.

Double Set or Hair Trigger mechanism. Get to know these and they can be a WONDERFUL asset to help with increasing accuracy, especially on a hard hitting, hard recoiling calibre. As always on these rifles a beautifully silky-smooth bolt travel in and out too. To finish the spec. sheet off the Recoil pad has been finished with leather and as always, their superb drop out rotary box magazine.

This will be a SERIOUS ‘hitter’ and capable of taking just about any game you can think of. These throw a 180 Grain bullet out very close to 3000 ft/ second with near as damn it 3500 Ft/lbs of energy. That is approx. 500 ft/sec faster than a standard .308 and an additional 1000ft/lbs of energy!

I generally also have in stock sets of the Original Steyr Quick Detachable Windage Adjustable Return to Zero Scope Rings. Inch or 26mm tube. VERY occasionally a 30mmm set though these ARE RARE indeed. If you want a 30mm tube I also have alternative bases and matching rings to accommodate.
