Model 200 Bolt Action Sauer Rifle in 7mm Remington Magnum. Generally Excellent Condition with minimal use to date. A pretty fare statement given there is hardly a blemish to be found anywhere. This rifle has also been fired by myself with a grouping showing in Image 6 (?)
I did not bother adjusting the scope to actual zero. The same one is used to test fire a lot of rifles and simply set at mid adjustments. All I am interested in is a group, when listing for sale etc.
23 1/8” (585mm) INTERCHANGEABLE Barrel set to a Stock Pull of 14” (355mm). Overall length measures 43 ¾” (1110mm) and tips the scales as pictured at 8 lb 6 oz (3.8 Kg).
Calibres available for this action length show as the following:
.25-06 / 6.5 x 55 SE, OR 57, OR 68 variants. Also .270 / 7×64 Brenneke / .30-06 Spr / 8×68 and 9.3×62.
Anyway, back to the rifle itself: Ambidextrous safety with the stock also mounting to either shoulder. Yes, a Right-Handed Palm Swell but still fits perfectly well in the left. The safety on the original model 200’s easily operated. Push the vertical pin set just forward of the trigger, inside the guard, up. A matching Red Dotted Pin comes down at each side of the action showing ready to fire. To return to safe simply push back up either side back into the action. This rifle is also fitted with a standard trigger. No ‘Set’ or ‘Hair’ facility. It MAY have been adjusted out of play but I would need to check and confirm.
Woodwork shows a Nice Tight, Strong Straight Grain through the Butt and grip. The for-end with Very Nice Swirling Pattern and Contrast too. Chequering is also still very clean and reasonably sharp to the touch. As said, Minimal use to date. Jewelling pattern to the Bolt Shaft is still 50% plus and that never tends to last long either.
