EVER popular and UK favourite .243 Calibre as well as Bolt Action M595 Rifle from Sako, Finland. 22 ¼” (565mm) Sporting Weight Barrel, Screw Cut standard ½” x 20 UNF. PLENTY of suitable new and Good Pre-used options generally always in stock to choose from too. Stock pull length comes at 14 1/8” (360mm) and brings in an overall 42 3/8” (1075mm). Bare weight tips scales at 7 lbs 5 ½ oz (3.33 Kg).
I bought the same rifle many years ago and still have it. A LOT of rounds and MANY years later it still produces a ¾” group at 100 yards plus. Very possibly capable of even tighter grouping but that is more than good enough for me and ANY live quarry. No reason why this will not do the same.
Many much prefer these older model Sako Rifles. I am amongst them. Somehow just have a nicer, more cared for when made feel. Yes, I know that might sound daft to many. To those who agree we are happy with our opinions.
Some Highly Decorative Grain Pattern and Nicely proportioned Palm Swell. All Chequering / Grip area are still VERY Clean and Crisp / Sharp. Hinged Floor Plate Magazine so no chance of losing it and all finished off with its original Sako Butt Pad.
