Description

MARLIN .357 MAGNUM 1894 UNDER LEVER RIFLE.

Marlin Model 1894 Under Lever Rifle in .357 Magnum. GREAT for Full Magnum loads through to lighter weight .38 etc.

This is a nice example considering it dates back to a 1982 production. (So WELL BEFORE the Remington fiasco and the ‘Rise of the Gremlins’).

An 18 ½” (470mm) Round Barrel all fully stamped up as would be expected. Set to a Good Strong Straight Grained 13 ½” (343mm) Stock. Overall the rifle finishes at 35 ¾” (908mm) and tips the scales at 6 Lbs dead (2.735 Kg).

The existing after-market extended cocking handle is always a VERY handy addition if you intend to fit a scope. (I will likely have a suitable scope base. If not then certainly happy to supply one).

This is one of the plain, un-chequered options which many actually prefer. They are more traditional and in keeping with the original / very early examples. It does have quite a few very minor marks from being used, mainly to the left side. I can only guess it has usually been laid on that side between shots. They are nothing even remotely deep or serious.

The original iron / open sights are also still in place even down to the elevation adjustment stepped wedge. Original butt plate too.

YES, I know you can buy brand new for around the same price. I am MORE than happy to get one if that is what you want. This is an older example getting quite rare and always sought after. ESPECIALLY one in anything like even half decent condition. Or with the action that loose and sloppy you think at least twice before daring to squeeze the trigger. A little to a lot older an example and you can think about double and well past more than this.
