RARE and Unusual opportunity for a RIFLED Barrel 12g Bolt Action 512 ‘Slug Master’ SECTION ONE Shotgun from Marlin Arms. 21” (533mm) barrel but integral with the action so O/A length with action at 28 ¼” (715mm). Hence SECTION ONE. Stock pull measures 14 1/8” (357mm) and brings in an overall length at 41 ¾” (1060mm). Bare weight as pictured of 8 Lbs 11 ½ oz. 3.956 kg.
This comes with THREE 2 shot capacity detachable magazines and is just about AS NEW condition. The customer is, for want of a better term, ‘a bit of a bugger’ for buying, trying and then moving on. That is literally ALL he did with this and then swapped out for a 9 shot Remington Pump. He enjoys it so GOOD for him. It also offers up opportunity for others to grab something highly unusual and zero wait time. That if they were even still available. The gun shows next to zero wear / use to the bolt handle and that matches the rest. Metal work and woodwork. That with some light contrast to the grain pattern. A 3” (75mm) Magnum Chamber and fixed choke at approx. ¼ restriction. In reality it will be wide open when measured into the rifling.
With an ounce projectile and a diameter of near 3/4” NOTHING is going far with a hole that big in it. Complete with original Open / Iron sights the action is also drilled and tapped ready to take a Weaver mount. In reality even more effective than most rifle rounds and a whole lot cheaper choice. OK, not travelling as fast but so what? With either option its all about giving the correct lead which comes with use and experience. For distances anyone should or would be taking a running game shot it works out to an additional few inches!
