Description

FABARM EURO LION MK11 12G SEMI AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN.

12G Semi-Automatic Fabarm Model Euro Lion MK11 Multi Choke Shotgun. 30” (760mm) barrel chambered for anything up to 3” (75mm) Magnum shells. 14 5/8” (372mm) Pull. 50 7/8” (1290mm) overall and weighs in at 7 Lbs 4 ½ oz (3.303 Kg).

Ventilated ½” (12mm) sight Rib with High Viz Red Dot Front Sight Bead. Black finished action with small areas of embossed engraving pattern along with the brand and model details. The action also incorporates built in dovetails to allow a scope or red dot sight to be easily fitted. No bad feature if shooting driven game etc. and, in reality, a GREAT choice for such. Especially for British shooters far more used to using a shotgun on moving targets.

The gun comes with an extensive (8 in total) range of chokes running from Cylinder right through to Extra Full. They extend the barrel by approx. ¾” (19mm) and have a double knurled ring to allow fitting by hand. There is also a matching key supplied.

These alone must have / will cost in excess of £200 when new to replace.

A Good Strong Straight Grain running through the grip area finishing at the ¾” (19mm) Recoil Pad. Carrying on to some decent enough Grain Pattern Contrasting Colour throughout. Generally pretty clean right through with no real marks or blemishes worth mention. The gun also comes with its original Fabarm Logo detailed Hard Take Down Carry Case.

Fleur de Leigh Patterned Chequering with the Lion Logo to the Forend, set into the middle. Gold washed trigger retaining in excess of 90% colour. A clear sign of minimal use so far as this finish never lasts that long regardless of how careful someone is.

To lock the action back you need to push the floor plate / cartridge lifter backward and engage.

In the case is a Second Magazine Tube Nose Cap. I assume one is for use with lighter cartridge loads while the other caters for heavier options. No doubt there will be an instruction manual easily available on line to check things out.

DON’T FORGET THIS COMES WITH 8 CHOKES so something of a BARGAIN.

THE STEEL SHOT DEBACLE?

FIRST THING:  Given lead is SO dangerous, can we ask about getting every lead water main replaced? After all, ANYONE with one of those still supplying water has zero choice. LETS PUT THAT QUESTION TO HEALTH AND SAFETY EXECUTIVE AS WELL AS THE GOVERNMENT.
That is every child’s grazed knee washed out with lead infested water (direct into their blood stream. Every glass of juice. Every cup of tea or coffee, Vegetables washed and cooked in the stuff. ALL that DELICIOUS Gravy. Cloths washed in it. Then we bath in the sodding lead infested stuff!
HOW DO THEY DEFEND THIS FACT?
THEN THERE ARE more and more Non-Toxic Shot alternatives being produced. WITH near matching performances to traditional lead and close to, if not matching pressures. Take a look at Horton Gunmakers for their own entry into this debacle of modern-day shooting. IF it’s so lethally deadly to shooters and game eaters, how is it every old lead water main supply pipe is not getting ripped out and replaced? To my mind it’s a DISGRACE that the shooting industry did not simply ask that one simple question. NO, they saw an excuse to charge a fortune and that mainly to the detriment of the quarry. Just my opinion …..for what its worth?
Anyway, take a look for yourself:
NOW, to TRY and help speed up availability I WILL also suggest that YOU pass on details to everyone you know who shoots. Then ALL of us start to ask whoever we buy from why they are not DEMANDING cartridges made in this material? Basically VOTE with your WALLET.
YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond!
On that note I AM looking into the possibility of stocking some direct from Steve at Hortons.                                                     RING for an update and keep checking the web site.
