CZ BRNO .22 Rim Fire Bolt Action Rifle dating to 1973 production so fast approaching 30 years old. That alone SHOULD tell just how good, popular and reliable these rifles always are. My own is a lot older and is still every bit as accurate as needed for pest control.
Original 22 ¾” (630mm) barrel so very much an oddity these days. Though it is screw cut standard ½” x 20 UNF. However the calibre IS .22 Long Rifle (.22LR). They were designed and given the name because of the long barrel. OK ammunition may well have improved but the same principle applies. Longer barrel has better longer range accuracy.
Stock pull is a straight 14” (355mm) bringing an overall length at 43 1/8” (1095mm). The bare rifle tips scales at 6 Lbs 7 oz (2.916 Kg).
Quite a bonny Hogs Back Style Stock with Good Colour Contrast to the Strong Straight Grain. Chequering still pretty crisp too and only a few minor blemishes. Nothing considering the age of this Classic little rifle.
After market METAL 10 round detachable magazine. Actually far better than the modern day plastic only alternatives.
