A CLASSIC well known and well respected STUNNING rifle from this ICONIC maker in an even greater Classic calibre. This was Rigby’s favourite and widely known as the .275 Rigby because of his preference for the round. Ridiculously easy on the shoulder to shoot for a 7mm. I use one myself after trying one many years ago now.
23 5/8” (600mm) original unthreaded barrel retaining the traditional open / iron sights with front shroud and fully adjustable rear ‘V’. Overall finished length as pictured is 44 ½” (1130mm) weighing 7 Lbs 14 oz (3.574 Kg). The usual hinged floor plate magazine.
The 14 1/8” (360mm) Stock may well be a Maple Walnut given the lighter colour. It has a Strong Straight Grain with EXCELLENT colour contrast and a Raised ‘Bavarian’ style cheek piece and profile. For me it mounts to the shoulder delightfully well and a lot better than the usual ‘American’ options found today. The Ebony forend tip just finishes things off. Everything combining to make this quite a STRIKING and BONNY Rifle anyone should be happy to own.
The rifle is almost as new with only one previous owner from new. But for no box or paperwork you would not really know. You need to look hard to tell it has been used. This and several other, all very clean guns, are here through unfortunate circumstances. Too long a tale to detail here but happy to tell anyone interested in buying the rifle.
