.223 Calibre Heavy Target / Varmint weight BSA Model CFT Bolt Action Rifle. Anything still around at this age simply MUST be doing something right. I suspect its still more than capable of ‘throwing’ lead. Quite probably better than most people asking it to do so.

Original 23 ½” (595mm) Heavy weight Target Barrel so NOT screw cut. (YES, people DID actually manage without the obligatory sound moderators of today) I still do!

Higher Grade Walnut Stock with Rosewood Forend Tip, Pistol Grip Cap and a trigger pull at 13 ¼” (337mm). A SOLID 9 Lbs 5 oz (4.234 Kg) Bare Weight and Overall length of 43 ¾” (1112mm).

Basically everything 100% original apart from a replacement butt plate. A few light marks and blemishes to the otherwise standard straight grained stock. The Fox or skip cut chequering just giving that extra little finish. Metal work is all in Excellent general condition. Fully Adjustable trigger to allow a set up to suit you perfectly. No real marks or anything else to mention as far as the Trigger Guard or Hinged Magazine Floor Plate go. Do bear in mind these are usually the first place to show signs of use.

Certainly an unusual rifle these days. I can’t think of any manufacturer with as long and heavy a barrel other than having one made. This will save a FORTUNE on doing that and very likely may well shoot every bit as well. Possibly better!
