Just about AS NEW 12G Browning Maxus 1 Sporting Carbon Fibre Semi-Auto Shotgun. OK, NOT the cheapest example out there BUT in this condition, I consider this MORE than fare money. If you don’t agree then simply buy one of the cheaper options. It’s an EASY enough decision.
Sadly, no additional chokes, case or paperwork. However, the Invector Plus Chokes are readily available to order. Even a case if wanted. That said, most people never bother with said travel case or swapping chokes so… Your call if you want to pay the extra.
28” (710mm) Barrel with 3” (75mm) Magnum Chamber PLUS Fleur de Lisle Steel Proof Stamped. NOT that I recommend putting it through ANY gun. See comments further down. However, you buy it, you put what you want through. Ventilated and VERY subtly Tapering Sight Rib. Fitted with a Mid-Position Smaller White Bead with High Viz Red mounted to the front. The Taper runs from 10/32” to 8/32” or ¼” (8mm to 6mm).
A NEAT little feature, not often seen.
The Synthetic Stock offering a current pull of 14 ¼” (360mm) bringing in an overall length of 49” (1245mm). Scales show a weight of 7 lb 2 oz (3.228 Kg). This IS also a Multi-Choke with the current option detailed as MOD / Modified.
The gun dates to 2016 production so now 10 years old. With that in mind take a GOOD look at it. Yes, evidence is there (when stripped down) that this is indeed used. However, SERIOUSLY little to date. It is near IMMACULATE. The external condition even more so.
As detailed, this model is the Browning Maxus MK1 Carbon Sporter when introduced. The Action Sides finished Matt Silver. The Stock and For End in Plain Black with Textured Grip Areas. The rest of the gun, Barrel, Rib, Top and bottom of the Action and Trigger Guard all Carbon Finish. Actually, Pretty Classic and Stylish to my eye. I LIKE it.
Factory integrated Sling points, the Front neatly inlet to the For-end Release catch. That also ensuring the correct fitting and location or will not lock back up.
If you really want to see just how little use so far simply LOOK at the Gold Wash to the Trigger Blade. This NEVER takes much use before showing signs through to wearing away. This, like the rest of the gun, is still in near Factory Condition. This will NOT disappoint.
THERE ARE more and more None Toxic Shot alternatives being produced. WITH near matching performances to traditional lead and close to, if not matching pressures. Take a look at Horton Gunmakers for their own entry into this debacle of modern day shooting. IF its so lethally deadly to shooters and game eaters how is it every old lead water main supply pipe is not getting ripped out and replaced? To my mind it’s a DISGRACE that the shooting industry did not simply ask that one simple question. NO, they saw an excuse to charge a fortune and that mainly to the detriment of the quarry. Just my opinion …..for what its worth?
Anyway, take a look for yourself:

NOW, to TRY and help speed up availability I WILL also suggest that YOU pass on details to everyone you know who shoots. Then ALL of us start to ask whoever we buy from why they are not DEMANDING cartridges made in this material? Basically VOTE with your WALLET.
YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond!
Sadly Steve has now given up on the UK Gun Trade and left for the US. HOPEFULLY a major producer will adopt and cartridges will eventually travel back this way.
