12 Gauge 2 Shot Semi-Automatic Shotgun from Browning. Certainly unusual and getting more and more collectable day by day. The last two I had in went to the same fella. Who knows he may well grab this one too.
25 3/8” (645mm) Plain, None Ribbed Barrel with fixed ¼ Choke Restriction and 2 ¾” (70mm Chamber. There IS a Matt Finished Sighting Line machined along the top and finishes with a Single Front Bead. Pull measures to 14 ¼” (363mm) and together finishes at 44 ¾” (1135mm Overall. Weighs in at 6 Lbs 11 oz (3.033 kg) so quite a SOLID little gun for what it is.
Maple Walnut Woodwork with some Nice Pattern and Contrast. Rounded Prince of Wales Grip and smooth finish with zero chequering. This IS usual and how they originally are. The original Browning Butt Plate is also still there too.
Thankfully the Forend is still undamaged with no chips or splits. For some reason people do not seem to understand there IS a Cross Pin that DOES need pushing OUT. This allows the forend to slide slightly forward and off the action catch. It then simply comes away. Don’t do it, keep pulling and you will end up cracking a piece off or worse.
Safety is the little Roller Spring Mounted Catch mounted / seen at the rear of the trigger guard. It simply blocks the trigger movement to keep the sear engaged. Action itself is finished in what looks like a Grey Nitrite with a Borderline Engraving around patches of Scroll work. Blueing is beginning to show signs of wear but this IS an older gun and generally in Excellent Condition all things considered.
