WORRIED ABOUT NONE TOXIC / STEEL SHOT?                        TAKE A LOOK AT THIS:

NOW, to TRY and help speed up availability I WILL also suggest that YOU pass on details to everyone you know who shoots. Then ALL of us start to ask whoever we buy from why they are not DEMANDING cartridges made in this material? Basically VOTE with your WALLET.

YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond!

On that note I AM looking into the possibility of stocking some direct from Steve at Hortons.                                                                                                                RING for an update and keep checking the web site.

….My ‘usual rant’ (brief version) about None Ejectors:

For those of you MAD on ejectors. Just out of interest PLEASE THINK back to the last time you broke your gun. Think back to near every time you break it as far back as memory will allow! When did you not block any spent cartridges from flying back over for 10 to 15 feet and beyond?

Are you shooting a good few dates each season on relatively big driven days for Partridge, Grouse or Pheasant etc?. LUCKY you if you are but they are about the only times ejectors MIGHT be helpful. There is very little to warrant and certainly no need for them most of the time.  Take your eye of what is in front of you. Watch where the empty shells drop so they can be picked up. I will put money on that being the time something gets up to present a shot! Your choice and plenty of ejectors in to choose from so makes no real difference to me.

BACK TO THE GUN:

Standard Game format 28” (710mm) Fixed Choke Barrels at ½ and Full restrictions with 2 ¾” (70mm) Chambers. Concave rib running up to a single front bead.

14 ¾” (375mm) Stock bringing in an overall length of 45 ¼” (1050mm) and carry weight at 6 Lbs 7 ¾ oz.

A Strong Straight Grained Walnut Stock with some reasonable colour contrast. This does have a couple of light blemishes but nothing to cry over. Quite long and original this has almost no cast to the straight hand grip. It may well easily work for a quite tall right or left handed shot straight out of the rack.

Metal work is exceptional with the Colour Case Hardening to the action like new.

This gun came in from the same man as another similar AYA in the same Superb condition. Both well looked after since originally purchased.
