Acvoke (Accles and Shelvoke Ltd. Birmingham) .177 calibre air pistol. SERIOUSLY RARE and SERIOUSLY COLLECTABLE. Apparently these were produced from 1946 onward for a period of 10 years. A limited period of manufacture, now around 65 to 75 years ago. You can easily guess why these pistols are rarely available for sale.
This example is complete with its original packaging etc. and also the operation manual as supplied when new. All as original. Plenty of information available so not a great deal of point in just copying it all out again. Anyone who knows what these are is going to know all they need to already. Anyone who does not there is more than enough in collectors guides and / or the internet.
The pistol itself still operates and shoots without any issue. The Original finish is worn and there are signs of very light surface rust. (No doubt some would attribute this to patina) but it’s not. That said it is very superficial. It will easily clean down to a completely re blue and put the gun back to as new if wanted.
