This is an OFFICIAL IMPORT Bettinsoli and actually designated a Junior Sport model. In reality the stock is more than long enough for many adults and ladies at a 13 7/8” pull.
(By all means save a little money buying and supporting ‘grey imports’ through none official channels / dealers. However bear in mind they are NOT the same specification guns. NOT the same quality finish and NO back up warranty or spares should anything go wrong. So YOUR CALL!)
20G Bettinsoli X Trail Silver Over and Under, Single Selective Trigger, Box Lock, Ejector Shotgun.
Italian made shotguns with just about all the ‘bells and whistles’ available on a modern shotgun. Single Selective Gold Washed Trigger. 3” (75mm) Magnum Chambers with Jewel finish to the block. Ejectors. Multi Choke. Steel Shot Proof. There is not a lot more available other than assisted opening!
The Stock measures to a pull length of 13 7/8” (353mm). VERY nicely Straight Grained example right through the grip so strong exactly where needed. VERY nicely Straight Grained example. This has GOOD colour contrast as well as GREAT Tiger Stripe Highlights across most of its length. A VERY BONNY gun by any standard WITHOUT getting into the costs of graded Walnut.
30” (762mm) Multi Choke barrels, ventilated joint and ¼” (6mm) Game Rib. This model has a Plain Bright Finished Action with a simple and Deep, Heavy Cut Border. Hinge Pins are nicely detailed in Gothic Style Engraving. The Forend Iron and Latch Plate are finished with Scroll Engraving. Everything continues to the Trigger Guard, Top lever and Tang. Bottom action plate is inlayed with a Gold coloured Woodcock in flight and complimented by the gold washed trigger.
COMMENT.
Very much a case of ‘Less IS More’ as it looks an understated yet very stylish little gun.
As detailed, perfectly suitable for youth, a lady shot or even a full grown man. As with any shotgun its ALWAYS best to try it and see how well it does or does not fit. This 30” option weighs in at 7 Lbs dead (3.167 Kg).
