Description

BROWNING CITORI 12G OVER AND UNDER SHOTGUN.

12G Over and Under Browning Citori Shotgun. 30” (760mm) Multi-Choke Barrels with 3” (75mm) Magnum Chambers. Multi-Choke and Fleur de Lisle Steel Shot Proofed. A ‘Sporter’ version with the slightly wider 3/8” (10mm) Ventilated Top Sight Rib. That with Browning’s usual finish: Cross Filed to each Outer 1/3rd with ‘In-Line’ finish to the middle. As such, offering a nice ‘guideline’ by way of sighting right up to the Single Brass Bead at the muzzle.

This comes complete with its Original Packaging box, all Paperwork and Accessories. As such an extra TWO chokes only. That IS all they come with when brand new. Only two places in the accessory box conforms that too (BEFORE anyone decides to ‘argue’).

Stock Pull measures to a Long 14 ¾” (375mm) and finishes with the original Browning detailed Black Butt Plate. Overall, the gun comes in at 47 ¾” (1212mm) and tips scales at 7 lb 13 oz (3.547 Kg).

The Action finished in a Matt ‘Bright’ with minimal patches of Scroll Engraved Decoration. The Bottom Plate Completely Plain other than the BROWNING CYNERGY Detail. Trigger Guard, For-end Catch and Top Lever finished to Match and Compliment.

THANKFULLY, and for a VERY NICE Change, is the Quality of Timber. A VERY PRETTY Stock with some Excellent Grain Pattern PLUS Colour Contrast. The For-end even with some Cross Tiger Stripe when the light catches it correctly. There ARE two small dings to detail to the stock by way of any blemishes. Nothing that bad / less than ¼” long on both.

As for the Lead Sh-t ‘FIASCO’? READ ON:

THERE ARE more and more None Toxic Shot alternatives being produced. WITH near matching performances to traditional lead and close to, if not matching pressures. Take a look at Horton Gunmakers for their own entry into this debacle of modern day shooting. IF its so lethally deadly to shooters and game eaters how is it every old lead water main supply pipe is not getting ripped out and replaced? To my mind it’s a DISGRACE that the shooting industry did not simply ask that one simple question. NO, they saw an excuse to charge a fortune and that mainly to the detriment of the quarry. Just my opinion …..for what its worth?

Anyway, take a look for yourself:

NOW, to TRY and help speed up availability I WILL also suggest that YOU pass on details to everyone you know who shoots. Then ALL of us start to ask whoever we buy from why they are not DEMANDING cartridges made in this material? Basically VOTE with your WALLET.

YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond!

Sadly Steve has now given up on the UK Gun Trade and left for the US. HOPEFULLY a major producer will adopt and cartridges will eventually travel back this way.
