Model 700 Remington Sendero Varmint Stainless Steel Fluted (VSSF) Bolt Action Rifle in .223. The Pinnacle / Top of the Tree from the Entire Range of standard options available. Other than the Original Jewel / Engine Turning to the bolt shaft showing Very Mild wear this is As New. Yet another rifle, sadly, all in from the same fella, now retiring from shooting. One of the main issues being our local licensing department! Everything is in generally Excellent Condition and regularly cleaned. A true ‘old school rifleman’. In fact, there is a second Remington ‘Police’ model to list too.
26″ (660mm) Stainless Steel Best Quality Fluted Heavy Weight Varmint Target Barrel. Stock pull measures at 13 5/8″ (345mm) and brings in an overall length of 45 5/8″ (1160mm). Scales register a bare weight, as pictured, of 8Lb 11 ½ oz (3.950 Kg).
For anyone too young to know …. BE GREATFULL! I do remember my first (in .22-250). I also recall that quite a few foxes left the ‘arena’ unscathed other than a fright, because of its trigger. In the end I re-worked mine. Then, very little missed ‘meeting its maker’ once it got squeezed. I currently have the same rifle in .220 Swift and that will shoot the same hole on demand. As long as I do my part. No reason to imagine this is not equally capable and accurate.
CURRENT Manufacturers Spec. details a 1:8 twist so should be equally at home with the heaviest or lightest bullet heads. This COULD be 1:9 as older but should be equally suitable for any bullet weight at that too. Magazine capacity is also detailed as 5 plus 1 in the chamber. If you have ANY shooting where that is not double what’s needed at any single encounter I want inviting. This also comes with its Original Paperwork / Manual too. Another clue as to how well the fella looked after his gear.
