Model M595 Tikka Bolt Action .222 Sporting Rifle. Still one of the best rifles that ever came out of this manufacturer and still well sought after.
22 ½” (570mm) Sporting Weight Barrel. Stock pull length of 14 3/8” (365mm) that brings in an overall of 42 ¾” (1085mm). Scales tip at an ounce short of 8 Lbs dead (3.6 Kg).
Nicely Decorative Walnut Stock with a Strong Straight Grain running through the grip and all along the butt. Good colour contrast with a regular dark stripe with some Very Nice Cross Grain Tiger Stripe Highlighting. Chequering is still pretty clean, crisp and sharp so not much evidence of a lot of use so far. Detachable magazine and currently fitted with the oversized rubber slip on bolt knob. Cocking indicator the rear of the bolt. The stock is actually ambidextrous but does have a slight palm swell for a right handed grip.
14x1mm Threaded.
This calibre is also seeing something of a revival. In reality its about time. It IS a SUPERB lightweight, almost zero recoil option, even without a moderator, and generally superbly accurate. It also uses far less powder than ANY of the other .22 C/F options for anyone wanting to re-load.
