WINCHESTER MODEL 94AE LEVER ACTION IN .45 COLT.

A ‘Big Bore’ .45 Colt Calibre Winchester Lever Action Carbine 94AE Rifle and in Generally EXCELLENT Condition throughout. 16” (406mm) Barrel still with its Original Open / Iron Sights. Trigger Pull measures 13 5/8” (346mm) and combines for an overall length of a Very Compact 34 ¼” (870mm). Bare weight as pictured tips the scales at 5 Lbs 15 oz (2.695 Kg).

Generally EXCELLENT Condition throughout. The loading gate appears to have seen absolutely minimal use so far. YES, you can load direct through the tubular magazine but the rest of the gun supports the condition stated. The Cocking / Action Lever showing zero swagger even when fully open. Add in the generally GREAT condition of all the original finish confirms. Also fitted with an after-marker Cocking Dog Spur which are actually easily swapped over for left or right use. The stock too is basically straight so 100% Ambidextrous and good from either shoulder. Safety is a simple push through the action pin as well as a Half Cocked Hammer. As such again Fully Ambidextrous and good for a right or LEFT handed shot.

A Nicely Decorative American Walnut Stock with a Good Deep Rich Brown Colour and some decent enough Contrast too. Some reasonable Grain Pattern and also fitted with a Small Saddle Ring to the Action Side.

These rifle DO READILY take a scope too. The action top pre-drilled and tapped ready to accept mounts. In reality no lever action in this style was traditionally designed for use with a scope. Yes, Winchesters do also eject up over and not via a side port. People still persist that spent cases fall back into the action, especially of a scope is fitted. No doubt this DOES actually happen. However it takes VERY LITTLE to simply twist the rifle slightly clockwise when cycling the action. Do THAT and every case SHOULD simply drop straight out. The other thing is to also put a scope onto sensibly high mounts. Then, not only do you not get a stiff neck but it also leaves room for ejection too.

New in 2024 the retail on the equivalent rifle is supposed to be just over £1300. That said .45 Colt is NOT actually even an option to order. As such you ARE pretty likely to be ‘alone’ on any range as far as calibre goes. Anyone NOT wanting to or happy about following the flock or a desire for a 45 Govt KICK etc. This IS a GREAT choice.
