WINCHESTER .30-30 LTD. ED. CENTENNIAL 66  CARBINE U/L RIFLE.

LIMITED EDITION 100 YEAR  Centennial Commemorative Celebration Model of the Iconic .30-30 Under-Lever Winchester Carbine Rifle. NOT many of these about, certainly within UK shores!

As the name suggests produced in 1966 to celebrate 100 years since its first arrival on the scene in 1866. This is already 55 years old. Not quite as valuable as an original from then but CERTAINLY collectable NOW. There will not be many to be found and certainly not in this condition.

As detailed, this is the Carbine option with a 20” (505mm) Open Sighted Tapering Octagonal Barrel. Running from approx. 0.85 – 0.75 (22 – 20mm) and stamped with a 1:12 Rifling Twist. Pull to the inside of the Butt curve is 13 ½” (343mm) with an total length of 38 ½” (978mm). Tips in at half an ounce short of 7 Lbs (3.16 Kg).

Though a Limited edition this has ‘seen daylight’.

The previous owner did actually enjoy it as well as shoot it but only minimally. Clearly Evident by Very Light rubbing to the back of the loading port. Factor in the action is also a Gold / Brass washed finish. It would be pretty obvious if there had been much more loading done at any point.

Limited Edition Rifles come with Selected timber and this features a rather Good Grain Pattern. The Tang of the action is fully detailed WINCHESTER CENTENNIAL 66. Barrel the same with A CENTURY OF LEADERSHIP 1866 – 1966 in Gothic Script Engraving to the right hand. Winchester and Logo, made in The USA and .30-30 to the left. The Gold washed Forend tip just completes the rifle.

Certainly a collectors piece but also something to fully enjoy as well as actually use while you have it. As per the images the rifle comes with the original packaging and paperwork too. That would have been nicer had it been in perfect condition but its still a small piece of Winchester history as it is.
