Single shot Martini Lever Action .22 Rim Fire Rifle from W. W. Greener.
26” (660mm) Heavy target barrel fitted with its original open / iron ‘V’ sights. The front pivots to offer a standard heavy blade OR fine ‘Pin Head’ and is set inside a protective shroud. The rear is stamped Second Greener’s Patent with a fixed ‘V’. It ALSO flips vertical to offer a sliding Ladder Style sight. No doubt adjustable past the flight capability of a .22 rimfire? It is windage adjustable too.
In addition to these original fixed sights. The rifle also comes with the matching W.W. Greener, Birmingham and Patent stamped rear Tang sight. This has a small pan style eye piece with the option of three diameter iris holes to choose from.
Thankfully the original Heavy duty Target Sling swivels are still in place too. There is general patination throughout as would be expected on a gun of this vintage but that is all it is. Certainly not rust. This is a great example of one of these VERY RARE and sought after rifles in generally Excellent condition throughout.
A Buffalo Horn tip finishes the forend. The WELL figured 14 1/8” (358mm) stock is finished with an inlet and shaped steel butt plate. Overall length is 41 ¾” (1060mm) and the rifle weighs in at 6 Lbs 9 oz. (2.976 Kg) as pictured. The Extra Fine cut chequering completes this Fine, VERY nice, Rare Sought after and collectable little rifle off.
