A little away from the ‘norm’ for us. In for sale is this Southern Gun Company Straight Pull Bolt Action Rifle in 6.5 Grendel calibre. Now in a slightly unusual calibre I would guess, from the serial number, began life as a .223. Being a modular type rifle build the barrels are interchangeable. This opens the door to many choices. The current 6.5mm calibre is a 25” Stainless Steel option with stepped profile. Threaded and fitted with a ported muzzle break which easily swaps out for a sound moderator if wanted.
These rifles come with full metal / alloy receiver and action. WELL renowned and highly regarded for flawless hard work. The original ‘fixed’ right angled bolt handle is now removed. In its place is a fold in cocking lever to the left hand side of the action slide. This allows your right hand and head / eye to stay in position at your firing point. Reloading and cocking with the left hand for as fast an operation as humanly possible. ….Anyone looking for a GREAT Speed Competition Shooting rifle this is going to be near impossible to beat. The rifle comes with a fixed position 14” pull Pistol Grip Stock as standard. There are also a good few other ‘EXTRAS’.
The original barrel / heat shroud is included with the rifle . At present this has the SAMSON MANUFACTURING CORPORATION ‘STAR’ RAIL SYSTEM fitted. Featuring a bi-pod attachment already fitted and MORE than enough room available for ANY other Weaver Rail compatible accessory.
Included with the rifle 100 rounds of ammunition ready to go shooting with. There is also quite a pile (approx 360+ of PPU, Hornady and Lapua) of once fired brass. To complete the package a set of reloading dies is available too. (Though the de-priming pin DOES need replacing)!
All told the extras and accessories amount to the best part of £400 of extra value included in the price.
