Pre-used replacement or even a spare set of woodwork to fit a Sauer Model 200 / 202 Bolt cation Take Down Rifle. Absolutely 100% CERTAIN of the following:
There IS someone, probably quite a few with one of these superb rifles with high grade woodwork. That nice to look at they are simply scared to take the rifle out and shoot it in case it gets damaged. It gets left in the cabinet, protected from the world seeing daylight sometime never.
Here is an opportunity for one such rifle to do what it was designed for. With the correct tool it takes all of a few minutes to swap out both the forend and stock. Leave the Grade 5 and 6 Walnut in safety. Swap out this woodwork, get the rifle out there and ENJOY it.
Alternatively you may well simply need some replacement woodwork due to an accident.
Chequering is still defined and clean enough. Grain pattern is basic as this will have been a standard model originally. That said, a refinish would bring what colour contrasts there are and make everything look nicer. The forend does have an additional hole to take a machine screw sling stud. Originally fitted to allow a standard bi-pod to be fitted. The inset threaded nut is still in the stock. I will have a suitable stud if required.
PLEASE bear in mind the prices on Replacement / Pre-used Gun Stocks reflect the COST in money as well as time. Guns have to be purchased, booked in, stripped down, pressure bearing parts destroyed, and the police notified. THEN photos taken, prepared and adverts posted of what is left.
I DO NOT DO this to ‘make money’. A lot of the simpler / older options are to allow you ‘die hard’ enthusiasts to continue in your own way.
