Sako AII Model Bolt Action Rifle in this GREAT and DEVASTATING Calibre of .22-250. A LOT harder hitting than a .222 or .223. Yes, correspondingly noisier given a greater powder load but we CAN all have a sound moderator these days. ‘Problem’ easily solved. I shot one for YEARS prior to sound mods and have nothing but praise for it anyway.
19 ¼” (490mm) Barrel with a 14” (355mm) Stock length. Overall finishing at 39 1/8” (995mm) and tipping scales at 6 lbs 10 ½ oz (3.022 Kg).
A Strong Straight Grained Walnut with some reasonable Colour Contrast but it is starting to look a little tired. Its more from the previous owners rough farming hands than anything else. It still shoots extremely well and only came in as a P/X against a synthetic replacement. Metal work is actually still in pretty good condition. Original Blued finish is still Very Clean and minimal sign of much use or wear. Especially given the age / model the rifle is.
Stock has the usual Right Handed Palm Swell Grip but IS actually Ambidextrous and just as useable from either shoulder. Chequering to the Left side of the grip is the worst area of use evidence but confirms the left handed use so far.
Picatiny Rail fitted and included as per images. The rifle was previously fitted with a Thermal Imaging scope and apparently DEADLY. Accounting for MANY foxes. The price reflects the aesthetics and NOT the working condition of this rifle.
