Stainless Steel Version of a Rossi .38 / .357 Magnum Underlever Rifle. 20” (510mm) Barrel mounted to a Matching Stainless Steel Action. Even the Butt Plate matches. 13” (330mm) Walnut Stock bringing the rifle in at an overall 37 ½” (952mm) long. Scales register at 6 Lbs 5 oz (2.862 Kg).
An exceptionally clean example and only in for sale as the previous owner has a friend leaving him his Marlin. Loading can be via the usual gate to the right hand side of the action. OR via the port on the magazine tube.
Exceptionally Tight Grained Walnut Stock and Forend. Some decent enough Pattern and Colour Contrast. Safety is with the Hammer set at ‘Half Cock’ and the action has a Double Key Lock Up for Excellent Strength.
As said, there appears to be no great use to date and this will make someone an EXCELLENT Gallery or Range Rifle. Especially for shooting with Traditional Open / ‘V’ Sights. DON’T forget these are top ejection rifles so fitting a scope is often problematic for ejection of spent cases. There is no good way to fit a scope unless its several inches above the rifle bore with enough clearance. I.E. an additional couple of inches and more over normal.
Equally these rifles ARE made for simple open sight shooting and no more. Slapping a scope on top only turns them into something none of them were ever designed to be.
