MIROKU 20G OVER AND UNDER GRADE 5 MK60 UNIVERSAL SPORTING SHOTGUN.        

B. C. Miroku MK 60 Universal Sporting Grade 5 Over and Under 20g Shotgun and all but BRAND-NEW condition. Unusual and MUCH sought after 32″ (810mm) Barrels with Fixed Chokes at ½ (Top) and Full (Bottom). Standard GAME Ventilated ¼” (6mm) Sight Rib. It’s a Single Selective Trigger too so you can choose which barrel fires first. Stock pull is a long 14 3/4″ (375mm) and finishes the gun at an overall length of 49 5/8″ (1260mm). Scales register a weight of 7 Lb 3 ½ oz (3.280 Kg).

As above, and YES, it IS worth saying again:

This gun is just about AS NEW condition. With its 32″ (810mm) Barrels, also SERIOUSLY in favour in today’s shooting mindset of longer tubes. I won’t be a hypocrite and ‘join the party’ and WILL stick to any and all previous comments where shotgun barrels are concerned. These do NOT shoot any further that a set of 24″ (other than the additional 8 inches. That is dependent on the same weight / size shot leaving the muzzles at the same velocity. After that the LAWS OF GRAVITY are in charge. It’s a simple scientific FACT. 

As for comments about being easier to swing because the longer barrels keep moving: One question: When you are driving a car is it YOU doing the driving or the car? Eating a meal…. is it the knife and fork moving your hands or YOU? OK, that’s two but point made?

THE EXACT SAME CONCEPT applies to shooting at a moving target. The gun is NOTHING more than a tool in your hands. It’s up to YOU to keep moving the barrels. The proof of this is easy enough to realize. If not, then why are all guns not 32” and even longer? HOW did anyone manage to shoot anything with a Classic Boss 25”? Or anything else for all the years since invention?

 IF YOU WANT A LONG barrel gun by all means buy one. Buy this! However, PLEASE do not buy any because you think it’s a GUARANTEE of more success.

The previous owner basically fell straight into the comments above ‘hook, line and sinker’. Got talked into buying this Brand New and soon realized his folly. He is more than tall enough for a gun like this to suit. However, he just could not get away with it after years of shooting shorter barrels. Quite frankly just did not like the feel of it. HOWEVER, THAT now opens up a WONDERFUL opportunity for someone else to basically save a small fortune.

 Bright finished Action with Full Scroll Work Engraving. The rest of the metal work, Trigger Guard and For-end Iron etc. all matching. Stainless Steel Trigger Blade and currently set with a Manual Safety. The conversion rod may well be in the none original case but I will need to check. If not, they can easily be ordered and not difficult to fit back in place.

Semi Schnable Style For-end and SUPERBLY patterned Woodwork throughout. Bordering on Exhibition Grade with some Serious Grain Pattern and Fantastic Highlights. This REALLY IS an ABSOLUTE STUNNER of a gun and will certainly bring out envy / turn heads. As well as a GOOD-looking woman on your arm? Very Possibly (depending on how much they like guns)! The Flush Inlet Escutcheon Oval to the bottom of the stock is also still unmarked. All ready for YOUR initials.

As for the Lead Sh-t ‘FIASCO’? READ ON:

FIRST THING:  Given lead is SO dangerous, can we ask about getting every lead water main replaced? After all, ANYONE with one of those still supplying water has zero choice. LETS PUT THAT QUESTION TO HEALTH AND SAFETY EXECUTIVE AS WELL AS THE GOVERNMENT.

That is every child’s grazed knee washed out with lead infested water (direct into their blood stream). Every glass of juice. Every cup of tea or coffee, Vegetables washed and cooked in the stuff. ALL that DELICIOUS Gravy. Cloths washed in it. Then we bath in the sodding lead infested stuff!

HOW DO THEY DEFEND THIS FACT?

THEN THERE ARE more and more None Toxic Shot alternatives being produced. WITH near matching performances to traditional lead and close to, if not matching pressures. Take a look at Horton Gunmakers for their own entry into this debacle of modern day shooting. Given its supposedly so lethally deadly to shooters and game eaters. How is it every old lead water main supply pipe is not getting ripped out and replaced? To my mind it’s a DISGRACE that the shooting industry did not simply ask that one simple question. NO, they saw an excuse to charge a fortune and that mainly to the detriment of the quarry. Just my opinion …..for what its worth?
