Stainless Steel Bolt Action .17 MK2 / MK11 Calibre Model 917 M2S Bolt Action Rifle by Marlin. Basically a pre-cursor to the now ever popular .17HMR. Only real difference is the exact same bullet head going slightly slower by roughly 300 ft/sec. If you think that is going to make ANY difference ITS NOT. At least not over anything but the most extreme distance of a shot that most would (or should) not even attempt.
Barrel us a compact 13 3/8” (340mm) and factory threaded with standard ½” x 20 TPI / UNF muzzle. Stock pull comes in circa 14 1/8” (360mm) to bring in an overall length of 32 ¾” (830mm). This one tips scales at 5 Lbs 6 ½ oz (2.452 Kg) as pictured.
Now, not entirely sure if this is, in fact, still Brand New. It comes with the original Box and All Paperwork. It also comes from the time when the importer / UK supplier was ASI (as per the letter / details). I will have to ring to find out how far back that was! It was simply tucked away as shown and near forgotten about.
Green and Black Laminate Stock with the ‘open’ side hollowed away to reduce weight and add to aesthetics. Detachable 8 (?) Round Magazine.
