SADLY, NOT an original ‘Enforcer’ but nevertheless a FANTASTIC clone of this Lee Enfield 7.62 x 51 Nato Sniper Rifle. Plus, EVERY chance this could be even better given a Modern-Day copy.
I cannot be sure, but it appears to be built on a previously unused No. 4 action too. Zero original markings to be found and what is detailed below the side scope mount is Laser Etched. No date stamp to the Action Band either. Only the S/N right at the bottom of the Left-Hand side.
Woodwork is in near Immaculate Condition / almost As New. Correct Fixed position Cheek Raiser / Rest also fitted. With its correct Thumb Rest Cut out for use from either shoulder.
The bore is in equally excellent condition throughout too. Just as nice inside as out.
As showing, the rifle is fitted with (I ASSUME) one of the American made original / correct Rifle Scope copies. Fully Detailed and still BRIGHT WHITE with TEL. SIGHTING No. 32 MKII OS 1650A 1944 No 17526. I would LOVE to find out it’s a true original. Given condition it would have had to be hermetically sealed in a storage tube for the last 80+ years! Equally possible it too is a Full and equally Excellent restoration. Attached in its CORRECT Quick Detachable Side Mount Bracket. Post and Fine Wire Cross Hair Reticle. Though, admittedly, the wire is not THAT fine. Just nowhere near close to the width of the main post.
Even the Brass Butt Plate is Immaculate. Tucked under the usual Hinged Trap Door is an original weighted pull through cord too. I WILL even have a matching Brass or Black Plastic Enfield Oil Bottle if wanted. Just remind me you want one. Traditional Military Webbing Sling included too.
Barrel measures to 25 1/8” (637mm) and a Stock Length / Trigger pull of 13 ½” (343mm). Overall, the Rifle measures 44 ½” (1130) and tips scales at 12 Lb 1 ¾ oz (5.490 Kg). That, with Mounts, Scope and sling included.
IF that ‘worries’ you certainly take a look at what an even remotely decent condition original WILL cost. Let alone something in anywhere close as condition to this. If you don’t conclude this is SERIOUSLY CHEAP for what it is then PLEASE buy yourself one of those.
