Stainless Steel Model 1500 Bolt Action .243 Howa Rifle. I used to sell a LOT of these when they first came into the UK. The package deals are still superb value and I am more than happy to sort one out from any of the thousands of options now possible. Happy to put one together for this rifle if required too.
EXCELLENT Hard Working, Hard Wearing Rifles their history and popularity speaks for itself. Set into a standard Black Hogue Rubber Over Moulded Synthetic Stock. Comments have been passed that they can be a little flexible. However, this is the Sporting barrel profile so the barrel channel is a lot smaller. As such there is much more ‘meat left’ giving better rigidity to the stock. In reality even the varmint / target weight barrel stocks are more than good enough as long as you shoot the rifle and do not apply stress. I only make comment to TRY and correct posts made on line by people who appear to know no better / do not seem to know how to properly hold a rifle.
Standard 22” (560mm) barrel pre-threaded ½” UNF ready for a sound moderator of choice. Stock pull is a straight 14” (356mm) and overall the rifle measures 42 3/8” (1075mm). Weight is a straight 7 ½ Lbs (3.403 Kg). Hinged Floor Plate magazine with readily available after-market detachable options in stock at extra cost etc. These rifles even have a cocking indicator to the back of the bolt.
Another sign of how popular you can now also buy and fit after-market trigger upgrades. Not that I would suggest they are needed. However, a rifle has to be fairly popular and out there in good numbers before these come along. Companies invest a lot of money making and trying to sell ‘upgrades’. They ONLY do that when they are happy there will be sufficient demand to get their money back and a return.
