As usual, the top barrel is the 16 Bore with the rifle calibre below. These measure up to 23 5/8” (600mm). This is a Model 22S2 and features a Lightweight Bright finished Alloy Action with machine cut engraving. A double trigger set up with the front firing the bottom / rifle barrel. (I will have to check and confirm that)! It also has their modern Spring Loaded Tang Safety with Push Button Release to drop back to none fire. The top finished with a machined 14mm dovetail. All ready to take a Red Dot sight or similar.
Stock is a Bavarian Style ‘Hog Back’ with some excellent Tiger Stripe Grain pattern. It is a little ‘hidden’ at the minute because of the dark finish. That could be brought out a lot more making a very bonny gun. With sling swivels attached it has the option of an ‘easy carry’ gun over rough, bad or strenuous terrain. Pull measures to 13 1/4″ (336mm) finishing the gun at an overall length of a compact 39″ (990mm). Bare weight of 6 Lbs 5 oz. (2. 875 Kg).
It arrives with the German made Schmidt and Bender 6×42 power scope in the Quick Detachable, Return to Zero Mounts. As showing. The rifle is available with or without this and / or the mounts. One thing to detail is that it has suffered slight damage below the front flip up lens cover. I assume dampness has caused the original finish to go. This can be refinished OR simply use another cover which will hide this and protect the lens again.
