A FANTASTIC FULL PACKAGE deal from BSA, The Gamo Phox .177 (4.5mm) Pre charged Pneumatic (PCP) Air rifle ‘STARTER PACK’. THAT, is slightly misleading. These rifle packages are in no way anything less than an EXCELLENT deal. In reality perfectly good enough for any level from beginner to veteran. THEY ARE SUPERB VALUE. Just about anyone can get access into the world of PCP air rifle shooting. BRITISH MADE TOO.
You get the Black Synthetic AMBIDEXTROUS Thumbhole Stocked Gamo Phox Rifle. Secondly, included in the deal are Scope Mounting Rail and Rings. A 3-9×40 Gamo Scope. The Matching Sound Moderator. A Gamo branded Stirrup Pump with filling kit and Gamo Gun slip complete everything.
The rifle has a built in pressure gauge so no guessing as to what air you have left. A factory threaded ½” UNF barrel will take any standard sound moderator. Not that you need worry about that as you get a lightweight alloy one anyway. With a length of 15 3/16” (385mm) and the moderator fitted the overall length of the rifle is 41” (1043mm) so very reasonable. Weight un-scoped as pictured tips in at 6 Lbs 14 oz so again a nice mid weight gun. Safety is via the small lever set within the trigger guard and just in front of the trigger itself. Again, FULLY ambidextrous operation so with the dual handed stock perfect for either shoulder shooting.
The butt and forend also look robust and stiff enough to take sling studs and a Bi-pod. The rifles are multi shot using the same magazines as BSA’s. No big surprise considering they supply the Gamo range.
You even get elasticated and see through ‘bikini’ scope covers to protect the lenses. I will even throw in your first tin of pellets.
