NOT a TRUE 12g Pump Action Franchi SPaS Section One / FAC Shotgun but as close as we are allowed. Minimum permissible length 24” (610mm) Barrel with screw on external choke and 3” (75mm) MAGNUM Chamber. Currently fitted with the longest approx. 4” (100mm) option so at Full restriction. The shorter the choke the less tight it gets as they are basically a very slight cone inside. I MAY have an odd one or two extra OR this can be reduced down to whatever suits.
Stock pull measures 13 ½” (343mm) and brings in an overall of 43 5/8” (1108mm) as pictured. Scales register a relatively light 6 Lbs 2 ½ oz (2.791Kg).
THERE ARE more and more None Toxic Shot alternatives being produced. WITH near matching performances to traditional lead and close to, if not matching pressures. Take a look at Horton Gunmakers for their own entry into this debacle of modern day shooting. IF its so lethally deadly to shooters and game eaters how is it every old lead water main supply pipe is not getting ripped out and replaced? To my mind it’s a DISGRACE that the shooting industry did not simply ask that one simple question. NO, they saw an excuse to charge a fortune and that mainly to the detriment of the quarry. Just my opinion …..for what its worth?

YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond!
On that note I AM looking into the possibility of stocking some direct from Steve at Hortons. RING for an update and keep checking the web site.
This also comes with the magazine extension tube shown. That gives a capacity of approx. 15” (380mm). As such it should have room for 5+1 magnum 3” shells or 6+1 with more traditional 2 ½” (65mm). Bear in mind you DO NOT actually need anything bigger. Just think back to the amount of shooting that took place on moors and estates years ago. Bag numbers are a fraction of today and then there was no such thing as a 2 ¾ shell. Let alone magnum and now suer magnum options. If you are on target you are. Throw 1 ½ Lb out at the wrong time / to the wrong place and its 1 ½ bs of shot wasted. Plus more than likely a muddy backside. Just my opinion so take it on board or don’t. Alternatively just USE what you have between your ears IF possible.
Double Sling Points built in with the swivelling ring on the magazine tube and the built in loop atop the grip area. The gun is stamped with AL inside the date box so that apparently corresponds to 1983 production. As such NOT BAD AT ALL considering that makes the gun 40 plus years old and still going strong. All Black ‘Woodwork’. Not sure if the Pistol Grip Stock is plastic or not. Corn Cob Style Forend to help with grip etc. Safety is the oversized lever just forward of the trigger guard. I think these will swap over for left handed use and with zero cast either way it is all but ambidextrous. The only consideration being spent case ejection. Most left handed shooters somehow seem to manage easily enough. AGREED why should you have to but sadly it’s the way things were back then.
