Direct Copy of the Original Lee Enfield De Lisle .45 ACP Bolt Action Commando Carbine Rifle. Used World Wide by British Commando’s and other Special Forces on Covert Raid and Missions. Built on an Original Lee Enfield No4 WW11 Action. Re-barrelled with a 16 3/8” (415mm) Original Marlin Firearms of New Haven Micro Groove .45 ACP barrel. About THE BEST option out there for this calibre as their Under-Lever Rifles attest to. Screw Cut to accept the FULL LENGTH Sleeve Over Sound Moderator. That gives an O/A Barrel + Mod length of 21 7/8” (555mm). Stock offers up a trigger pull at 13 ¼” (337mm) combining to an Overall Max of 40 ¾” (1035mm). Scales register a surprisingly light weight considering what it is of only 8 lbs 4 oz (3.743 Kg).
It comes complete with its short purpose made Tactical Picatiny Scope Rail and (currently) standard .303 magazine. As such SINGLE ROUND LOADING ONLY. I AM trying to source a converted magazine but its looking likely I will have to sort this out myself.
The Side Action Flat on this rifle is also pre-drilled and tapped to take an original Parker Hale A29 Side Bracket and Base Rail. I DO have those available in stock and Brand New if preferred. Also matching PH Scope Rings. Stamp details show No4 MK1 and dated for 1942 with the Serial Number to the Action Band / Strap and an upside down ‘ENGLAND’! Evidence of a nice little lapse in concentration from 80 plus years ago. That said, its very possible bombs may well have been falling so???
This example with a Traditional Lee Enfield 7.62 Conversion / Enforcer Style Butt Stock. A relatively Tight Strong Straight Grain pattern. Lets say its 100% functional rather than pretty. That said there ARE many out there who dislike ‘fancy’ woodwork so Very Much ‘each to their own’. Hopefully this appeals to YOU.
A shame its not an ACTUAL Original in this condition. However, one of those will command a price WELL outside most people’s budget today. These are not exactly ‘pennies’ but well worth the investment for any even half way serious Enfield enthusiast / collector.
