.22 Rimfire Straight Pull Bolt Action rifle from Browning.
This is one of the original / first versions of this great little rifle and still in GREAT condition. These have a vertical stack 5 round magazine as opposed to the modern version rotary figure of 8. The barrel is 24” (610mm) and unthreaded and overall the rifle finishes at 42 ½” (1054mm) long.
Pull is a long 15 5/8” (397mm) to the Nicely Figured MAPLE Walnut Stock where the chequering is still sharp. It even has the original Browning hard black plastic butt plate.
An interesting feature is the safety. This rotates around the action to lock the bolt block the trigger from releasing the sear. This has seen very little use since new and is certainly a contender for any serious older Browning collector or fan. It is yet another ‘one of those rifles’ that just HAS something from the minute you pick it up.
