A classic 12g Box Lock Ejector from AYA in Spain.
NOW, to TRY and help speed up availability I WILL also suggest that YOU pass on details to everyone you know who shoots. Then ALL of us start to ask whoever we buy from why they are not DEMANDING cartridges made in this material? Basically VOTE with your WALLET.
YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond!
On that note I AM looking into the possibility of stocking some direct from Steve at Hortons. RING for an update and keep checking the web site.
A very compact set of 24 ½” (623mm) barrels make this a very handy gun for restricted spaces such as a pigeon hide etc. Chokes are fixed and relatively open at Imp and Cyl. That said, if you are on target what you shoot at will be lucky to slip through the shot pattern regardless of choke. Standard 2 ¾” (70mm) chambers. Still retaining perhaps 80 – 85% of the original Case Hardening Colour the action, as always, comes with the removable striker plate discs. This is a feature rarely found on anything but the best guns money can buy.
A nicely figured stock to one side with a good strong straight contrast to the other. Chequering is still good and the pull measures to 14 5/8” (373mm). It comes complete with the usual inset oval to the bottom, ready to have initials engraved etc. Overall the gun weighs in at 6 Lbs 3 ½ oz (2.822Kg) and a length of 41 ¾” (1060mm).
These guns always offer SUPERB value. Options are available from a basic Box Lock None Ejector through to the Highest Quality Hand Built No1 Sidelocks. ALL are basically direct copies of best English guns and at a fraction of the price.
