1967 Production EVER popular Match 54 Bolt Action .22 Rim-Fre Target Rifle from Anschutz, Germany. Anyone born then and looking for a Birthday (or any other day) treat this will take some beating. I don’t think the customer said he bought it new but certainly could have. Even if not then Everyone in its life to date has taken Excellent Care of it.
27” (685mm) Heavy Match Grade Target Barrel. Stock Features an Vertically Adjustable Butt Plate and currently measures to a trigger pull of 13 5/8” (346mm). This is adjustable as the Trigger Blade itself and mounted on a Travel Rail. Together they bring in an Overall length of 45 3/8” (1153mm). The bare rifle as pictured tipping scales at a SOLID 10 Lbs 9 ½ oz (4.804 kg).
Trigger is FULLY Adjustable Match Grade Quality with Two Stage release.
Forend with the usual Flush Inset ‘ Inverted ‘T’ Aluminium Accessory Rail to the bottom too. A Definite Right Handed Stock with its Raised Roll Over Cheek Rest and Thumb Cut Away. A Very Pretty Example and certainly a Lot better than most examples around. New as well as old. Nice Wavey Grain Pattern to the Butt and Highly Decorative Tiger Stripe Full Length to both sides. Thumb Rest Cut Out / Recess and a Good Palm Swell for a Positive and Consistent grip therefore Trigger Finger.
Yes, there are some very light marks but most need the light at a particular angle to be able to see them. For its age the gun is in pretty remarkable condition. Its just a Fantastic example of one of THE Highest Quality Target Rifles EVER produced. These have been around for decades now and consistently bring in medals at the highest level competitions Worldwide. Still doing so and no doubt will continue to. A similar / equivalent option today? Work on close to £4000. Certainly by 2025 its likely to be there if not more.
