ANSCHUTZ .22 WMR MODEL 1515-1516 BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

Model 1515-1516 Bolt Action .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire WMR Rifle from Anschutz, Germany.

Original spec. 22 ½” (570mm) barrel retaining the open ‘v’ sights set to a stock pull of 14” (350mm). Overall the rifle finishes at 41” (1040mm) long and tips the scales at 5 Lbs 10 oz (2.557 Kg).

Generally excellent condition throughout. Especially given its age. Chequering is still clean and crisp to the touch. Quite a bonny stock with some Good Colour Contrast and Grain Pattern nicely finished with its Schnabel Forend. Raised cheek piece too.

The gun does have a few Very light marks to the woodwork with a single larger mark to the right hand side. It looks like the gun has been squeezed into a cabinet with too many other guns given its location. It may well partially lift but I will be surprised if it will go completely. A little bit of a shame but it is a pre-used rifle so the odd ‘war wound’ IS to be expected.

Metal work is all in Excellent condition with very little real sign of much use at all. Trigger and safety finish is still in the high 90% region which shows minimal actual use so far.

None threaded but this can be done in our own workshop, in house.

In reality a NICE little rifle in a SUPERB little calibre. ANYONE can have as long as they have an open slot to purchase a .22 rim fire. This IS exactly that but the Magnum version. At 100 yards down range this still has roughly the same velocity and energy as a standard .22 point blank. Makes for a superbly HARD hitting calibre for longer shots or bigger quarry like Hare etc.

New today you will be looking at roughly 4x this price and more. Quite happy to order one if you prefer / have the desire to spend that much.
