Classic and very pretty looking .22 rim fire BRNO No 2 sporting rifle. Still has its original full length, 24 ½” which is threaded, ready to take a sound moderator if wanted. These rifles were detailed as .22 L.R. (LONG RIFLE) and came with a LONG barrel for a reason…. They actually shoot better and more accurately that way. Yes, not convenient or easily manouvrable if shooting from a vehicle whilst out bunny bashing. For anyone on foot ‘sniping’ out vermin they are actually a better choice than the short stumpy options of today.
The strikingly grained stock has actually been reduced, but professionally done. Leaving a 12 ½” pull so could prove very handy for a petite female or junior shooter. Overall the rifle is in very good condition with only a few superficial marks. Given it was manufactured in 1965 it could almost be a collectors piece. It’s not what I would class as a ‘sleeper’, tucked away for years and hardly, if ever, actually used. Still a GREAT little rifle. No doubt still shooting well enough in another 50 years with a little care and attention.
