Traditional and all Original Condition .22 Rim-Fire Semi-Automatic Walnut Deluxe 10-22 Rifle from Ruger. As it came from the factory with Iron / Open sights and a NONE Screw Cut barrel! …. There’s a novelty in this day and age.
That said, I find it’s not the sound of any ammunition that scatters and quarry. It’s the ‘smack’ of a well-placed shot that does. This comes in from a Rifleman now retiring from shooting. Everything is in equally well cared for and looked after condition. He apparently had many years of Superb Shooting with this rifle exactly as it is.
18 1/2″ (470mm) Sighted Barrel set to a Stock / Trigger Pull length of 13 7/8″ (353mm). They combine to offer an overall straight 37″ (940mm) and tip the scales bare at 5 Lb 6 oz. (2.431 Kg).
Unusual for these budget end rifles this has Very Pretty Walnut Woodwork. Good Contrast along with Cross Grain Highlights with only one real blemish worth detailing. That is a small area to the L/H immediately rear of the back sight. He could not even recall how he managed to do it. Experience tells me it was rested on a stone wall with no hat or glove beneath. It is minimal compared to a LOT.
