Model 1200VC Parker Hale .223 Varmint Weight Bolt Action Rifle. A RARE option with minimal heavy barrel examples ever turning up to buy. THIS rifle is the ‘VC’ option so also comes with the original Drop Out Clip / Detachable Magazine.
Original and LONG 23 ½” Heavy Weight Barrel which should provide EXCEPTIONAL long range accuracy. Still Pretty Good to Excellent Condition for the age this TOP of the range option is. Strong Straight Grain Stock featuring the usual Raised Rollover Cheek piece, Rosewood Tips and a pull measure of 13” (330mm). The timber is quite light and offers a big contrast with the Rosewood. It could, quite possibly, be in Maple Walnut. Skip or Fox Cut Chequering as standard. A feature that always manages to make a gun look far more appealing to me.
Overall the rifle measures 43 3/4″ (1110mm) and levels scales at 9 Lbs 4 1/2 oz (4.208 Kg).
A fully adjustable trigger that retains much of its original Gold Wash finish. Slightly unusual
Butter Knife style bolt handle instead of the round style usually seen.
