BSA .22 RIM FIRE MODEL 12/15 MARTINI ACTION TARGET RIFLE.
BSA Martini Action Model 12/15 Single shot Target Rifle.
The serial number dates this a nice early example from a limited production run in 1947 / 48.
Standard tapering semi-heavy weight 29″ (737mm) barrel. 14 3/8″ (365mm) stock and weighs in at a straight 9lbs (4.1Kg). Including the original Parker Hale (PH 7A) Micro Adjustable target / dioptre target sights and front element holder. The PH 60 / 6 hole rear dioptre is included. In effect the rifle is ‘ready to go’ for anyone wanting to shoot one of these classic old rifles.
The stock has some reasonable grain pattern and would benefit from a little TLC. Forend is already fitted with a standard ‘inverted ‘T’ accessory rail to take a hand stop / bi-pod etc.
Other than that not a lot else to say. Just a nice enough example of an absolute classic Martini action target rifle in a not so common model.
