RIFLE NOW SOLD. DOUBTFULL IF EVER ABLE TO FIND ANOTHER but happy to TRY. Get in touch with details.

WEATHERBY MK V .224 MAGNUM BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

CERTAINLY something HIGHLY unusual to UK Shores this TOP of their range MK V Weatherby .224 Magnum bolt Action Rifle.

A STUNNING looking gun and from condition used very little at all. Sadly, there is a nasty scratch to the stock and lacquer finish just to the rear of the right side forend grip area. There are also a couple of much smaller blemishes to the original high gloss finish too but nothing too serious.

Definitely a ‘home loading’ project as readily available ammunition will be near impossible. ANYONE with news / information or even stock of some PLEASE do get in touch.

The Mark 5 or MK V options from Weatherby were the first EVER factory produced rifles to guarantee sub HALF MOA accuracy. Straight from the box with quality ammunition. The bolt and  action have a SIX LUG Lock up so immensely strong and align up perfectly with the bore.

23 ¾” (603mm) un-threaded High Gloss Blued Rifle Barrel set into a STUNNING Maple Walnut Stock. Pull is currently 13 ¾” (448mm) and, as pictured, intricate carving throughout the HIGHLY FIGURED and DEEPLY CONTRASTING Stock. Overall the rifle tips scales, as pictured, at 7 Lbs 12 ½ oz (3.524 Kg) with a length of 43 ¼” (1098mm). The weight INCLUDES the original Weatherby ‘SUPREME’ 3-9×44 variable scope AND the engraved matching scope rings. The scope LOOKS to be VERY GOOD and matching Quality. Certainly not from the ‘normal’ US options. Usually I tend to sell rifles and accessories separately as nothing ever seems to be just what people want. However, in this case with everything ‘matching’ as well as set up the option is there for any prospective buyer.

Happy to sell separately if need be.

The calibre itself?

Very similar to the .22-250 falling somewhere between a standard .223 Rem and the .220 Swift. Perhaps best to check out the following link:

PLEASE DO also help them out as they ARE very helpful to many and all searching for accurate information.

This is only ever going to appeal to a collector or rifle shot. Someone who STRUGGLES to find something still extremely useful yet far from the every day ‘run of the mill’ options.

I WILL try to find some factory ammunition and / or cases but suspect the easiest and most productive route will be to purchase some dies and cases from the other side of the Atlantic.

As pictured with rifle, mounts and scope.
