Most WILL, very likely ask WHY? Then again WHY NOT? Just because its diminutive in size does not mean much. Shot leaves the muzzle with just the same energy and velocity as any other calibre. Fire a cartridge at a piece of timber a few feet away and check for yourself. You would NOT want it hitting your leg!
This is likely going to a collector of small-bore shotguns. Even then, given SECTION ONE / FAC rated, someone who LIKES serious ‘ODD-BALLS’ as well as the more conventional. Unfortunately, because of the detachable and 3 shot capacity magazine it will be FAC rated for ever too. However, I LIKE it. If for nothing else other than its WAY OFF the usual ‘beaten track’. Rare. Unusual. WHO else will have one too?
24” (610mm) Barrel set to a Plain Black finished Action. A Full Adult Length stock measuring 14 1/8” (358mm) and an Overall Length of 43 ½” (1105mm). For what it is a quite hefty 5 Lb 2 oz (2.327 Kg). NOT that its heavy. I merely mean it’s a more than fare weight for such a minor calibre gun etc.
A few Minor blemishes to the woodwork and a bit of a shame. However, very possible they would all but lift back out given enough steam etc. The Action Fully Detailed as follows too: V. Bernadelli. Mod. CF9 – Cal. 9 Flobert.
ADMITTEDLY, NOT particularly relevant for this gun, however, still worth reading.
THERE ARE more and more None Toxic Shot alternatives being produced. WITH near matching performances to traditional lead and close to, if not matching pressures. Take a look at Horton Gunmakers for their own entry into this debacle of modern day shooting. IF its so lethally deadly to shooters and game eaters how is it every old lead water main supply pipe is not getting ripped out and replaced? To my mind it’s a DISGRACE that the shooting industry did not simply ask that one simple question. NO, they saw an excuse to charge a fortune and that mainly to the detriment of the quarry. Just my opinion …..for what its worth?
Anyway, take a look for yourself:

NOW, to TRY and help speed up availability I WILL also suggest that YOU pass on details to everyone you know who shoots. Then ALL of us start to ask whoever we buy from why they are not DEMANDING cartridges made in this material? Basically VOTE with your WALLET.
YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond!
On that note I AM looking into the possibility of stocking some direct from Steve at Hortons.
