THE CLASSIC 7×57 (.275 Rigby) Round in an equally Classic Steyr Daimler Puch Model M Bolt Action Rifle. All but original spec. and condition with the usual Barley Twist barrel. Still the full 23 ¼” (590mm) NONE threaded length and retaining the open / iron sights. Action pre-drilled and tapped to accept a variety of bases and rings with several options generally available in stock.
The usual Detachable Rotary Drop Out Magazine the rifle also features a Double Set Trigger. Get used to how these work and you WILL shoot better. The MAIN thing is to learn how to disengage it once set and the shot disappears. It’s a pretty SIMPLE thing to do, especially when you see the increased accuracy it usually provides.
A 14 ¾” (375mm) pull brings the overall gun length to 43 ½” (1105mm). The bare rifle tipping scales at 6 Lbs 13 ½ oz (3.104 Kg). Some very reasonable grain pattern and the Classic Raised Cheek piece. All finished with Skip / Fox Cut Chequering and Rosewood Forend Tip and Grip Cap. Metal work looks almost as clean as when it left the factory! Side position safety with a cocking indicator built in to the back of the bolt for easy confirmation of status.
A not so common calibre for this maker which is somewhat unusual given what it is. At least there never seem to many, if any, about.
