Currently sporting a 16 ½” (420mm) .22 Barrel pre-screw cut at ½ x 28 UNeF. Stock pull is adjustable from 11 5/8” through to 15” (295mm – 380mm) with another 3 equal set points between. The original Spikes tactical Butt and Grip plus other accessories pictured are still with the rifle. As pictured the current spec. has an after-market Mag-Pul ‘Upgrade Kit’ Butt and Grip. The Length adjustment lever also features a ‘Lock’ slide to prevent accidental movement. Also a small Storage Area with Spring Catch to the access door. Big enough for a Pull Through Bore Cleaner Rope etc. Or whatever else you might want / fancy?
Straight Pull Cocking Action with the Magazine Follower holding the Action Slide OPEN after the last round fired. Magazines are STANDARD format AR15 / .22 Calibre so a wide choice of options as well as capacity readily available. Never much money either.
As detailed and showing, the original manufacturers fittings and other accessories pictured come with the rifle. Easy enough to put back to 100% Original spec. if preferred. The barrel is also shown with what appears to be a Sound Moderator. However this is little more than a Flash hider Twin Wall Tube. No doubt it will dampen any noise but its never going to be as effective.
Bottom and both Side Rails currently fitted with slip / clip on rubberised protection sleeves.
Tactical Sling Points. The front basically moveable to any point on any of the rails. The rear fixed by the Stock to Action Lock ring but ‘swings’ from left to right on its steel ring. As such, set it up to suit YOU in whatever carry style suits.
Overall Length adjusts as per the stock pull details and goes from Min 32” – Max 35” (812mm – 890mm). That is MUZZLE to Butt. WITH the Flash hider showing 36 7/8” – 40 1/8” (937mm – 1020mm). With the three set mid positions available between. Weighs in at 7 Lbs 10 oz (3.459 Kg).
Usually these rifles do little to ‘excite’ me. Or the ‘Zombie Apocalypse’ tilt. However, this DOES just feel ‘right’ for a gun like this. May well be the build quality? It must be as ordinarily they are, for want of a better term, ‘Meccano’ guns. Equally that IS also the appeal for many so each to their own and LONG may that be the case. We ARE thankfully all different but this I am ‘half converted’ with!
