AR 15 / M4 / M5 Style Straight Pull Speedmaster Rifle in .223 from The Southern Gun Co. England. Not my ‘bread and butter’ so struggle to keep up with the exact models. I already have more than enough to think about.
Sadly, this is yet another, all in from the same fella, now retiring from shooting. One of the main issues being our local licensing department! Everything is in generally Excellent Condition and regularly cleaned. A true ‘old school rifleman’.
19 1/2″ (495mm) Black finished Fluted Match Grade currently Nonthreaded Barrel. Trigger pull measures to 14 3/4″ (375mm) to the fixed position Synthetic stock. They combine for an overall length of 39 3/8″ (1000mm) and tips scales bare at 8 Lb 15 oz (4.049 Kg).
Obviously, NO END of easily interchangeable Stock, Grip, Barrel Shroud and other after-market additions easily available too. NOT that anything is actually required. I don’t know but suspect the cocking handle on the slide is already an upgrade as it folds in ‘flat’ along the receiver housing. A Hogue Textured Anti-Slip Pistol Grip also fitted.
This rifle comes with a JEWEL trigger upgrade already fitted. The original is available and comes with the gun. I cannot even find where anyone might manage to order one here in the UK these days. However, DO bear in mind it will be circa £250 to £300 plus IF you can find anywhere. Then fitting.
There is an original US Marine Corps Technical Manual for FULL Operation and Maintenance Instructions. The alloy Barrel Shroud / Heat Protector does have a hole drilled at the front end. Apparently originally done to accept a Sling / Bi-pod stud adaptor or accessory rail. Given no open sights fitted this will require a scope to shoot accurately. However, there is also a Factory Machined Picatinny Rail to the action. Ready to take any tube at whatever height needed mounts. It comes with 1×10 and 1×15 shot magazines too. I may even have another laid about so do ask.
Current retail on a 2025 version of this in STANDARD format appears to be £2980. By all means take a look for yourself with an easy internet search.
