.22 (5.5mm) Bolt Action, Single Shot, ‘Elite’ model PCP Ripley Air Rifle from Hogan Firearms. Generally EXCELLENT condition and a Very Nice example indeed. 17 ¼” (440mm) barrel with tandard ½ x 20 UNF screw cut muzzle. Ready to take any matching thread sound mod which most are. 14 5/8” (372mm) Trigger pull. The trigger itself having some degree of adjustment to set exactly right for you. Overall length comes in at 35 ¼” (895mm) and the bare rifle tips scales at 7 lbs 2 oz (3.232 Kg).
High capacity Air Cylinder which should translate into a goos shot count per fill. As detailed, this is a single shot rifle so no magazine. That is generally the ‘Marmite’ moment for most. You either love and appreciate the simplicity and discipline having only 1 shot brings or you don’t. With no quick follow up available it tends to concentrate the mind into making CERTAIN of that first and generally only shot. I could go on but, in reality, very few will end up ‘converted’ away from a multi shot magazine. That in itself is a shame as a lot find accuracy improves if they do.
Well Figured High Grade Right Handed Walnut Stock with Thumb Rest Cut Out, Good Colour Contrast and Cheek Rest. Skip or ‘Fox’ cut Chequering, a feature I always consider adds to and enhances any gun. There are a couple of Very Minor marks to the woodwork but these would / should all but lift out if the gun is going to end up tucked away. That may well be the case. These ARE certainly excellent air rifles and well worthy of consideration by and for any serious collector. A seriously Solid Bolt also just adds to the Quality feel of this gun. Not that it needs any excess pull to operate. The action is slick, clean and possitive.
