AFTER-MARKET Upgraded Remington 700 Bolt Action ‘Sniper’ Rifle in .308 Winchester. (Many people also feed 7.62 Nato through these too. The Magazine well and High-Capacity Detachable Magazine CLEARLY stamped with ‘AI’ for Accuracy International accessories. Not entirely sure who the stock is from. By now, no doubt, ‘old school’ as they change almost every 5 minutes. Especially for 700’s.
PLEASE NOTE. This was ‘put away’ into a fleece lined rifle slip when wet and left just that little too long! Called in at a friend on the way back and left it in there. By the time he made it home the original metal finish was showing light corrosion. It’s NOT much and mainly forward of the for-end. However, it IS there, though PURELY cosmetic. I detail it only in the interests of accuracy.
Barrel is also screw cut at 5/8 x 18 UNF, ready to accept a suitable sound moderator or break. I SHOULD have at least a couple of pre-used moderators readily available in stock to match. Please ask / check as happy to sort out a part or even complete package etc. Also, a few rounds through and a GOOD clean will likely improve the bore. Admittedly, it is not the brightest ‘star in the sky’. Equally it IS a pre-used rifle. Also, VERY likely still more accurate than most pulling a trigger. All of which IS reflected in the price. Especially considering the after-market upgrades. Those alone, realistically more to buy brand new than this complete.
OOPS! Almost forgot the Spec. 25 ¾” Heavy / Varmint / Target Barrel with Matt Dark Grey Finish. Screw Cut as detailed. Stock / Trigger Pull length currently measures 13 ¼” (335mm) but is adjustable with suitable additional spacers. (Easily enough made if needed). Overall length as pictured measures 44 7/8” (1140mm) and scales tipping at 12 Lb 3 ½ oz (5.541 Kg). Once set and on target this is going to stay put! Especially with mounts, scope, bi-pod and sound moderator fitted.
